Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants: Childbirth Edition!

Hosting a blog is a little like having a child.  Once you conceive of an idea, it takes a lot of time -- and a lot of labor -- to see everything come out all right.  Why am I starting this week's carnival with a silly analogy? Because this is the Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants: Childbirth Edition!  Some of you know our family is expecting a little one on July 27th -- but she appears to be coming early. And while we sit here and wait (and wait.... and wait....) for her (the nurse says it's going to be a while), my wife said I should get busy posting this carnival during our downtime. So without further ado .... say hello to the little bundle of joy known as The July 9 Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants.

Maryann Devine at smArts & Culture is all a-twitter with the possibilities of Twitter. She sees it as a way for organizations to communicate better with patrons.

Jeff Brooks of Donor Power Blog shows us How to Write Copy with Soul. As a former radio guy myself, I especially like this suggestion: "Read copy out loud. Stilted, inhuman prose will stand out for what it is if you say it out loud."  There's lots more good advice at his blog.

Ann Bares at the Altura Consulting Group writes about how Work Environment Drives Employee Engagement. Her suggestion: "don't overlook the opportunity you have to capitalize on your work environment to attract, retain and engage employees."

Paul Jones presents The Ultimate Question posted at Cause-Related Marketing. You'll have to check out his post to see what it is.

Soha El-Borno gives the technically challenged among us a lesson in How to use Google Analytics to track your top blog posts posted at Wild Apricot Blog.

Maureen at GuidEye says every problem in business -- with the possible exception of theft -- boils down to one thing: "It's the Communication, Stupid!"

Shai of Fundraising Seeds expands on Fundraising Success's 9 Reasons People Give Charity, and 1 More.

You want a bonus post? Well, you won't get it yet.  But we're hoping to have a new little bundle of joy to serve as the subject of a bonus post in the near future!

Thanks for visiting this week's carnival.  And you can jeep track of the Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants, wherever it's hosted, by subscribing to the Carnival feed.
